EB-1 Immigrant Visa for Priority Workers
- Persons of extraordinary ability in the sciences, arts, education, business, and athletics

EB-2 Immigrant Visa for Professionals
- Persons with advanced degrees or exceptional ability in the sciences, arts or business. Proof of an advanced degree or exceptional ability must be demonstrated.

Applicants for EB-1 visas can apply on their own or self-petition. EB-2 and EB-3 visa applicants must have a job offer in hand. Applicants for EB-2 and EB-3 visas must also obtain a labor certification or obtain a waiver of the labor certification requirement if they can demonstrate that waiving the requirement would be in the national interest.
